The New Southern Fugitives is proud to announce our Best of the Net nominations for 2020!
We nominated these pieces for Best of the Net back in October, but we wanted to wait until our “Best Of” issue to announce them alongside our Pushcart Prize nominees. Thanks to all who have waited patiently for the past several weeks, and don’t forget to check out our Pushcart Prize nominees, as well!
About Best of the Net:
The Best of the Net Anthology is published every year by Sundress Publications. “Sundress Publications is entirely volunteer-run, publishes chapbooks and full-length works in both print and digital formats, and hosts a variety of online journals. [Their] mission is to champion great work—especially by persons under-represented in literary publishing—and [they] welcome writers and artists regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, disability, religion, class, veteran status, and educational background.” – (Sundress Publications Website)
Our Best of the Net nominees are:
“But Have You Actually Tried Just Taking a Bath?” by Iona Murphy
“I’m Here for Fish” by T.J. Hunter
“She and Shakespeare and I” by Lillian Hallock
“Messiah” by Kim Conrey
